WashPIRG
is currently accepting applications for internships at our Seattle office.
WashPIRG is offering internships to motivated students seeking a challenge
outside of the traditional classroom setting. Students may earn college credits
while building skills and their resume and working on issues that they care
about. Interns must be highly motivated and energetic, must enjoy working
with other people, have good communication, research, and writing skills,
and must be able to work independently on public interest issues. Interns
will work on projects to improve water quality standards in Washington, ban
discharges of the worst toxic chemicals, promote energy conservation and increase
investments in clean energy, and protect consumers. Interns will also assist
with efforts to build the outreach ability of the organization.
Internship

Research
internship - conduct research and write reports on environmental and consumer
issues.
Legislative

the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, improving the water quality standards

public hearings, alerting our activist network of opportunities to hold their
elected representatives accountable, coordinating our outreach efforts with
those of other public interest organizations.
Media
internship - manage and develop a state wide media database and work with
WashPIRG staff to generate media attention for our issues by releasing reports
and holding press conferences in districts across the state. Responsibilities
